SAVSCO 161 is currently placed according to Thomas' chronology, between SAVSCO 118 and COB 8 (with the MCP placing SAVSCO 77/3 in that same period as well). I don't believe this placement makes sense, and that the two were only placed together due to the connected stories, as Roy tends to have a habit of doing this.
Throughout 161, there is a clear indication that there has been at least some passage of time since 118. While Conan has seen a vision of Shameel "every night for a month", there is nothing to indicate, nor any reason to assume that these visions started immediately following 118.
There's a nice alternative spot for the story, just a little down the chronology, when Conan detours into Ophir before returning to Zamora - particularly between SAVSCO 91/2 and SAVSCO 77.
