Magneto Vol 4

[Leoparis]

In the series a new villain called Irae tries to return Magneto to his villainous ways.

Per a note this is supposed to be circa NM 38. Indeed the students remember being wiped out by the Beyonder, NM 37, and there is snow on the grounds.
In NM 38 they were heavily traumatized and Magneto sent them to the Massachusetts Academy for treatment by Emma Frost. At the end on NM 40 they return to the Xavier school but Danielle had refused to follow to Massachusetts and had left home.
They look more lively in that mini than in NM 38-40. Roberto was out of the team between NM 37 & 43 and his presence is not explained. The nine students were not reunited before NM 44 and the spot after NM 44 may be a better one.

NM 38 has a day-to-day continuity and the only larger break is on page 16 between panels 4 & 5 "following weekend". So here is a NM 38 placement but if you think it best to postpone it to NM 44 to preserve the trauma and recovery sequence, make it known.

I would go with NM 44, to preserve the recovery time and allow for Sunspot to have returned.

I agree. After I posted, the NM 38 placement did not sit well with me and I already endeavored to modify it. The original continuity must trump the snow-covered grounds and the note.

StrayLamb argues for a placement after NM 52 as it fits the seasonal time. Indeed all characters are available in the spot he proposes.
