Panels 1-2 Flash and his gang in a car make fun of Peter Parker's lack of a date for tonight's Spring Fling Dance. Panels 3-5 Parker asks Betty who accepts. Jameson. Appointment at seven. Central panel: At nine Spider-Man tangling with Green Goblin on his flying broomstick. Panels 7-11: Betty furious. Peter goes home where May asks why so soon? Flash and his gang in a car make fun of Peter.

The people with Flash are probably meant to be Liz Allan, Tiny McKeever (wrong hair color in the first panel but light hair in the other) and Sally Avril (except she dies before Green Goblin's debut).

In ASM 17 Peter remembers his last battle months ago with the Green Goblin (fb to page 19 of ASM 14) and so neither this neither the UTSM issues leave room for a battle in between.

So, right after ASM 14 but that doesn't fit with the recall in ASM 17.

Or that scene is not a fight but is part of the scene in ASM 14 pages 5-6.
This would go this way: morning panels 1-5, afternoon ASM 14 (4 - 5:2), promotion show with Green Goblin pyrotechnics, night panels 7-11, next morning ASM 14 (5:3 - 5:6)

It reinterprets what was meant to be a fight into a promotional show to advertise the future movie but the talk with the producer and the mock battle would explain why Peter was more than two hours late for his date.
