A number of characters appear while Black Widow time-travels:

One month ago: Beast talking about time travel with Natasha.

Five years ago: Doctor Druid (36 hours before his death by Daimon Hellstrom).

The talk about time travel was how Ellis started his run in issue #16. McCoy's rant in 16 must have been caused by Natasha's prodding him when she visits him "one month ago".

The 36 hours probably refers to the break between Druid #1 and #2 since issues 2 to 4 follow each other closely.

Ellis wisely picked points in stories he wrote himself so it fits seamlessly.
