Amazing Adventures Vol.2 #17 has a two-page frame story with Beast, and then reprints X 49/2-53/2.
But the MCP lists it for other characters, in a way I don't understand : see here
Is there an explanation for this placements, or should we remove them?

Re: AA2 17
Do you mean FB (flashback), BTS (behind the scenes), OP (off panel), and VO (voice only/over)?

I'd make sure there is not an added panel in the reprinted material compared to the original, before removing anything. There might have been an adjustment to accommodate the page count.

Re: AA2 17
I can't see any differencese between the reprinted pages in AA2 17 and the original stories in X 49/2-53/2, even the original page numbers have been kept.
In the first two pages there is only Beast that caters to readers by introducing the reprint of his origins, (also with a panel depicting the original X-Men battling Magnet).
It would also be debatable whether it is a canon apparition.

Re: AA2 17
The Grand Comics Database speaks only of missing pages, and I can confirm that with my french reprint. There is no new scene in the reprint pages of AA2 17, so I don't see how the MCP can have AA2 17 listed in the middle of the X-Men back-ups for some characters. Does this come from an index?

Re: AA2 17
I checked the first italian edition of AA2 17, published in a series of X-Men reprints in place of the original short stories because "printing films" were not available at the time (1997), and I can't find any changes compared to the first edition (in the 70s).
